2026: What’s to come & beyond
A Thing of Sense has always been about honouring scent as a sensory language. We see it as an expression that lives in many layers: visual, tactile, emotional. In our creation and process, we are constantly guided by our senses, by nature, and by life itself.
As we enter our sixth year as a brand and studio, we wondered if this could feel like our first (year) again? Perhaps, not in the sense of starting over, but in choosing to see with fresh eyes. A renewed openness, a different way of paying attention.
Our commitment to quality, to thoughtful refinement, and to continually creating scents that resonate has never wavered. Our products are made with care and intention, to stand the test of time and changing seasons, and to be kept and cherished for a long time. Our hope, as always, is to continue sharing the joy of scent, not only through what we create, but through how it is experienced.
As we close 2025, and look ahead into the new year, we are excited to share a little of where we're headed. We will be refining our product range, to allow space for focus and deeper research work, while introducing a new product type that reflects how scent can live with us in different ways. We will also be archiving some of our older signature scents (they have seen us through some good times), to make room for what is to come.
Our flameless scent range is in the works, and will be launched in the first quarter of 2026. Easy, considered pieces to bring anywhere with you: scent mist tubes, spray bottles, and fragrance diffusers — perfect for travels, your home and beyond.
We look forward to a series of inspiring collaborations coming to life as well, created with artists, friends, and like-minded partners, all who share our values and sensibility.
The years have flown by, but we keep the moments close and dear. Every order that has come through to us; every 'small' gift that you have purchased for a loved one or yourself, means a lot to us. Your continued support and belief in our work makes it possible for us to keep creating, and doing what we do.
