Candle Care Guide
01 Burn bright
The first burn
Always burn your candle for a minimum of 2-3 hours to allow the melted wax to reach all edges of the vessel. This helps to prevent a tunnel effect running down your candle and ensures maximum scent throw.
Trim your wick
No prior trims are required for the first burn as all our wicks are pre-trimmed. Subsequent burns should see that wicks are trimmed to 1/4" before burning. We suggest using a wick trimmer for best results.
02 Burn bold
Always burn within sight
Never burn on or near flammable materials, e.g. matches, paper, curtains, dried plants, etc. Place away from excessive air/wind, e.g. open windows, ceiling fan, air vents, as this may cause the flame to flicker excessively and affect performance of your candle.
Keep away and store cool
Keep away from children and pets. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
03 Burn clean
Achieving full melt pool
For an even burn, always allow your candle to melt entirely across the top. Burn in increments of 4 hours or less. Anything more than that may cause overheating and affect the re-solidifying process of the wax, causing the fragrance oil to burn out faster than it should.
Till last light
Due to its natural components, it is normal for 100% natural soy wax candles to not have a fully smooth surface when it has cool. Refrain from burning your candle all the way to the bottom, as this may cause the bottom to overheat. Leave 1/2" unmelted wax to cool and discontinue use.
The After Burn
Our vessels were thoughtfully sourced for its quality and durability. We’d love for you to repurpose them once your candle has burned away. Some repurposing ideas we love include planting a small pot, storing stationeries or knick knacks…or get it burning again. It could be fun or functional, let your creativity take a walk on the wild side.
