The Forest
by A Thing of Sense
Our Forest is now closed.
Thank you for stopping by.
Set within the botanical studio of FAWN WORLD, The Forest is envisioned as an experiential retail and exhibit, bringing together scent, objects, art and the natural world.
Within The Forest, The Air Remembers (2026) is an exhibit exploring the relationship between scent and material through a slower, more contemplative experience.

The Forest features a collaboration with ceramic artist Hans Chew, exploring clay as a material and ceramic as a vessel for scent, in response to three new ingredient-led scents: Cucumber, Mushroom, Aubergine.
A recurring theme in Hans' practice reflects on nostalgia and the ongoing life of ceramics; how objects continue to carry memory, meaning and presence long after they are made.
Together, the resulting works extend each scent beyond the invisible, giving them texture, weight, and form, through the hands and vision of Hans.
A series of limited edition scent vessels were created with Hans, presented in two formats: Vessel Candle, and Diffuser Object/Dish paired with fragrance oil.

FAWN WORLD has also brought our Forest to life with Fruiting Body (2026): a suspended arrangement that hangs overhead as an unexpected meeting of nature, form, and scale.
The Air Remembers (2026)
Presented within The Forest, The Air Remembers (2026) is an exhibit exploring the relationship between scent and material through a slower, more contemplative experience.
The exhibit invites visitors to experience scent across multiple senses, where smell is accompanied by texture, form, and presence.
