Our first ambient scent mist

We began the year with a single word: Fluidity. A guiding thought that came about as we’ve entered our fourth year. 4 feels odd and special all at once, like an in-between of sorts that we want to embrace. Where do we go from here? Perhaps this thought was a hope and an attempt to explore what it means to hold firm while being in a state of constant flux.

We’ve always been influenced (intrigued, really), by the concept of time and how it holds to its own. It flows, it stays for a moment, it flows again. It’s present, it’s fleeting. it’s seen, then unseen. We found parallel ways of weaving both time and the concept of fluidity into our ongoing year-long research. This research started from a residency stint, followed by an exhibition showing at The Supper House, and now a finale product: an ambient scent mist (our first!), holding its own scent.

We charted new waters with this scent: exploring new ingredients, blends and formulas. a desire to reimagine a fluid-like scent, that probably took us down countless iterations and reworking (last count: 24 relentless tweaks, we nailed it on the 25th) to finally get a whiff of “I think this is it.”

All the time given for this scent to evolve and find its form has come together perfectly, and just in time. It smells like a deep sunset, then a morning dew mist. It’s deep, rich, romantic—an intense, fleeting memory you want to hold on to.

A new scent, a new form.
